Problem
In retail, allocators manage their company’s inventories by allocating items with information on how well they’re selling, or how similar items have sold in the past. I was tasked with revising the UI of two desktop screens for this out-of-the-box solution.
Solution
A visual design update using Manhattan Associates’ new design system.
Old Design
In Suggested Allocations, users drill down to specific cards to look into issues based off of both the numbers and their color rating.
After selecting an item tile in the previous screen, they would be lead to the item specific level where they can manually adjust their quantities in each store.
Sketches and drafts
I did some explorations of the tiles since more information had to be added onto them.
The new Suggested Allocations screen based off of Manhattan Associates’ design system.
For the screen showing the selected individual item, I changed the cards to a more standard table in keeping with Manhattan Associates’ design system. I have the pivots and filter hidden on this view. The team also decided to have more aggregated data shown above.
The version with the expanded pivot options.
